KEVIN MARDESICH
COMMUNICATIONS
WRITING, STORIES
& MARKETING
Kevin offers full-service communication skills. His writing, story, and marketing projects help Oscar, Emmy, and other industry leaders tell their stories. Kevin's credits include: 1) PR campaigns for National Geographic; 2) developing scripts for Oliver Stone; 3) Troika ad agency projects for ESPN and Apple; 4) documentary-shorts for USAID and UCLAx; and 5) writing/producing MTV's Emmy-winning interactive films, Take A Stand Against Violence -- which earned White House praise. Kevin also lectures at Stanford, Fordham, UCLAx Film, and USC's #1-ranked PR program.
Kevin's consumer copywriting includes trailers, voice-over scripts, websites, content marketing, and press kits. For client The National Geographic Channel, Kevin drafted website copy, kit copy, episode descriptions, and two dozen other documents. This copy launched wildlife and cultural-exchange series. For example, in the above Be The Creature trailer, Kevin's voice-over verbiage entices the key demographic (tweens) to tune-in.
Kevin's business copywriting ranges from FOX Entertainment's annual report, to its parent company News Corp's website. For both, he wrote and supervised copy describing eight sports and entertainment networks then owned by FOX (FOX Sports, FX, National Geographic, etc.). This did not include FOX News, which had its own writers.
Kevin's B-to-C and B-to-B copy editing also includes tele-medicine analysis, a business plan for Chinese hypermarkets, V.O. scripts for film trailers including Scoobie-Doo, branded content for a health/beauty start-up, as well as white papers for the entertainment industry.
